Sign to Approve
One signature approves the schedule — the Sheriff or the Chief Deputy (e.g. when the Sheriff is out and the Chief Deputy is the weekend OIC). Draw with a finger on a phone or the mouse on a desktop.
Send to Sheriff
Opens your own mail or messaging app pre-filled with the Coverage Brief and the approval status — attach the printed PDF ("Print / PDF" first) before sending. Contact info is remembered on this device.
Version control: any schedule change after approval automatically creates the next draft version (v2, v3…), clears the signatures, and renames the files — so a superseded schedule can never be mistaken for the approved one.

Cert. LEO
Active
Cert. LEO = fully certified WV law enforcement officer (Academy graduate). Unchecked members (Home Confinement, Animal Control) serve under the Sheriff’s deputization with narrower powers — on the schedule but not counted toward the 2-certified goal. Gold trim is applied automatically from the Rank field (Sheriff, Chief, Lt., Captain, Major). Inactive keeps history; permanent remove (×) scrubs the member from every week.
Leave & Balances
Document leave; check requests against available hours
Record Leave / Comp
Balances are running hour totals (accrued minus used). A request exceeding the available balance is flagged so admin can confirm it is legitimate before approving. Comp balance is checked against the FLSA §7(o) public-safety ceiling of 480 hours — advisory only; your agency policy / CBA governs.
Recent Entries
Note on auditability: offline entries are not tamper-evident. The hosted platform (Phase 3) adds the attributed, timestamped, immutable audit log required for a law-enforcement system of record. Exports are stamped and hashed so a hand-off file is verifiable.
Court Dockets
Load obligations, then resolve conflicts
Reconcile a docket
Paste the docket text below (or drop a .txt file). The tool finds your deputies’ names next to dates in this week and proposes court entries for you to approve — nothing is applied until you say so. Scanned PDF/image dockets can’t be read inside this tool (that needs the AI backend in the hosted version); for those, use the Claude path below.
PDF / image / photo dockets — the accurate path
With Claude: click Export, then hand Claude this week’s JSON plus the docket PDF or a phone photo. Claude reads the docket, fills each day’s Court row, and returns JSON to Import.
Manual: click any day’s Court cell on the grid and pick who has an appearance.

Retention & coverage — this week’s people & obligations
A read-only projection — it never changes your real schedule. It models the coverage math for each cycle against the certified patrol deputies available this week (active, certified, not on full-week leave), so you can compare options on the numbers that matter.
